From the Support Desk

Please remember not to send support requests to specific team members. This is especially important when staff are on holidays such as over the Easter break. When working onsite  with clients, our staff do not check their e-mails until the end of the day or the next morning. There is always a minimum of one team member monitoring tickets as they are logged into our system via softwaresupport@cutcher.com.au

Ostendo Users - Please remember that Development-X do not provide direct support to end users and any request is always redirected back to our team by their staff.

Support Tips for the Month

  • Freeway - If you encounter connection issues, don't forget you can run diagnostics from within the Freeway App. Click the menu icon from the top R hand corner and then select Diagnostics.
  • Reckon - If you a experiencing any issues with the Accountinglink or the program is very slow, please remember to check the size of your TLG file. The TLG size can be reduced by performing a verified Backup. Contact the team for more details.
  • Ostendo - Please do not ignore Failed Batches. If you do not deal with the failed batch within the dated month, this can cause problems for your Accounts / Accountant. It can also make it more difficult to resolve if it relates to a closed period. Please be aware that the date displayed on the List screen of the Failed Batch is the date that batch failed on. You can post the failed batch multiple times,if it continues to fail then ‘Date Sent’ will continue to update. The Date in the detail screen displays the transaction date. This is the date that it will post in your accounting system.
  • Ostendo User Session Report - If "Activate Screen Logging" is ticked (Systems Settings - Environment Settings), then you can go to General - Inquiries and click on Inquiries - Screen Logging. You will see the list of users and the Lines tab will show you all the screens that the user has gone into. Look for the Logged In and Logged Out screens to see when they logged in and logged out.
  • HR3 - Don't forget, that whilst our team can customize your reports to include additional information, you might also be able to extract the information through the data explorer.

Single Touch Payroll

Many of you would have now heard about single touch payroll (STP). STP isa reporting system where after each payroll event, the details of that event are automatically reported to the ATO. It penciled for a mandatory commencement date of 1/7/2018 for employers with 20 or more employees. For more information please read HR3's blog post on the topic.

Till next month, if you have any questions, concerns or need any advice, please don't hesitate to contact us.
