Hi everyone and welcome to our July newsletter. We hope you all got through the end of financial year smoothly and working on achieving your goals for 2018 FY.

Last month Michael presented a webinar on Ostendo Freeway. If you missed that webinar you can watch it here.

In this issue we have:

Software Updates

Freeway users would have recently received our instruction to update Ostendo to Update 226 or greater. If you missed this important message please click on this link now.

Ostendo update 211 is still the last Public release; however many of our Ostendo users are using versions much higher than this. We are expecting a full public release of Ostendo update 228 at the end of July 2017.

Those of you using desktop Accounting applications such as MYOB and Reckon would have received your latest compliance releases:

  • MYOB Classic updated from V19.13 to V19.14.
    • Note: if updating from V19.12 or less, the accounting link needs to be reconfigured.

  • MYOB AccountRight Live update from 2017.1 to 2017.1.1
    • Note: if updating from 2016 or less, the link record within Ostendo needs to be deleted before applying the update.

  • Reckon Accounts 2017 R1P updated to 2017 R2P

Please ensure you have loaded your new Tax tables if using the Payroll modules.

Custom Solutions

Freeway Sales Inquiry

This month we would like to spotlight  our custom Freeway Sales Inquiry. To get people started we are giving away a free report - "Sales by Region". Freeway inquiry reports can be run from any device that has the Ostendo Freeway App loaded.
To learn more click on this link now.

Not currently using Ostendo Freeway? If you would like to learn more about Ostendo's mobile solution please click on this link. Whilst Ostendo Freeway provides many mobile operational data collection benefits, it can also be used by field staff to capture or deliver information and provide management with detailed reports via inquiries.

From the Support Desk

Please remember not to send support requests to specific team members. This is especially important when staff are on holidays or working onsite  with clients. On-site staff do not check their e-mails until the end of the day or the next morning. There is always a minimum of one team member monitoring tickets as they are logged into our system via softwaresupport@cutcher.com.au

Ostendo Users - Please remember that Development-X do not provide direct support to end users and any request is always redirected back to our team by their staff.

Support Tips for the Month

  • Freeway - Must be running Ostendo update 226 or greater.

  • Assembly - if using a STD cost roll up method other than Standard Cost, please contact our support team for a command script that fixes an issue when rolling up Descriptor costs.

  • Mobility Keys - if your license user count changes then you must re-issue a separate Fast Code to each user device to update the license key. Failure to do so will result in the user unable to Sync.

  • Job Docs - Ostendo will error on any file name where it is greater than 50 characters (excluding file extension).
